So, I went to Fairystone State Park for a weekend of camping with friends and we went on this short tour looking for the rare mineral formations called staurolites that the park is named after. There are a few different kinds, the most famous taking on the form of a cross. I didn’t find any of those but I did find a few of the most common type and this was one of them. I still thought it was interesting so I plopped it up onto a moss covered root and took a shot of it with my 85 1.4.
